Overview
Working Safely teaches attendees how everyone can contribute to the health and safety performance of their organisation, and that by taking reasonable care of their own health and safety, they can make all the difference to their own and others’ wellbeing. This one-day course is suitable for employees in all industries.
Methodology
The methodology for the course includes formal training, relevant videos, group exercises, practical risk assessment, discussions, and real-life case studies.
The course covers:
- An outline of occupational safety and health
- Defining hazard and risk
- Identifying common hazards
- Improving health and safety performance
The law places responsibility on everyone in the workplace regarding health and safety. This course informs candidates of what they can expect their employer to provide under legislation, but, most importantly, it makes clear their own legal responsibilities to take reasonable care of their own health and safety, and that of anyone who could be affected by their acts or omissions.
Assessment for Training Courses
This course is assessed through the completion of a multiple-choice test, and successful candidates will be awarded the IOSH Working Safely Certificate.
